# What happened to Sourcegraph Cody?

**Access changed on 23 JUL 2025.** As of 23 JUL 2025 Sourcegraph ended the Cody Free and Cody Pro plans and removed Cody from Enterprise Starter; Cody Enterprise is not affected. Source: [Sourcegraph blog](https://sourcegraph.com/blog/changes-to-cody-free-pro-and-enterprise-starter-plans).

## What this means

On 23 JUL 2025, Sourcegraph removed Cody access from Free, Pro, and existing Enterprise Starter workspaces, while Enterprise Starter code search remained supported. New Free and Pro signups had already stopped on 25 JUN 2025, and new Enterprise Starter workspaces no longer included Cody from that date. Sourcegraph named Amp as the path forward for Free and Pro users; Cody Enterprise subscriptions remained unchanged.
