## What Birdr does

You draw an alert zone around a place you care about, and Birdr watches eBird for rare and notable sightings there; with Birdr Pro, you get more zones and watchlist alerts for species you still need.

A photo or a recorded call identifies the bird with image recognition and BirdNET audio analysis, and one tap adds it to your life list with dates, places and year lists.

It also shows a live sighting map from eBird, imports your eBird history, has lessons and quizzes on field marks and songs, and a community feed for sightings.

## Who Birdr suits

- Birders who chase rare birds near home
- eBird users who want alerts, ID and a life list in one app

One limit: The free plan covers rare bird alerts for one zone; more zones need Birdr Pro.

## Birdr and AI

AI inside, as the maker says: The maker's page says Sound ID identifies birds by their calls and songs in real time with on-device AI that works without a signal. ([source](https://www.birdrapp.com/))

## What Birdr costs

Free tier: Free plan. Birdr has a free plan with no ads; Birdr Pro is an in-app subscription or lifetime purchase that adds more alert zones and features.
