## What Spit Notes does

Spit Notes starts recording with one tap and keeps each recording next to the lyrics you write in the same note.

It has a teleprompter for hands-free scrolling, a rhyme highlighter, and an Ideas button with rhymes, word suggestions and lyric prompts.

Notes sync through iCloud and the screen stays awake while you practice.

## Who Spit Notes suits

- Rappers and songwriters who hum melodies into voice memos
- Musicians who want lyrics and audio in one place

One limit: The free version holds up to 10 notes; unlimited notes is a one-time in-app purchase.

## Spit Notes and AI

AI inside, as the maker says: The maker's page says the app has an AI rhyme book for inspiration when you are stuck, and does not use AI to write your songs. ([source](https://getspitnotes.com/))

Built with AI, as the maker says: The maker says he built the app in about three months with AI coding agents, a mix of Codex, Gemini and Claude, while he acted as architect and product lead. ([source](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45462627))

## What Spit Notes costs

Free tier: Free plan. Spit Notes is free for up to 10 notes with a monthly allowance of transcription and idea requests; unlimited notes is a one-time purchase and more idea requests need a subscription.
