What Mochi does

Mochi lets you write notes and flashcards in markdown, turn notes into cards in one click and study them on a spaced repetition schedule.

Notes and cards link to each other in both directions, take tags and can embed images, audio and video.

For language study it has built-in dictionaries, translation, text-to-speech and image search; data is stored on your device and syncs when you are online.

Who Mochi suits

  • Students and language learners who want to write their own cards
  • People who already take notes in markdown

One limit. Sync between devices needs a Pro subscription; the free plan keeps your cards on one device.

Mochi and AI

AI inside. The maker's page says Pro can make cards and rewrite text with AI, and create example sentences or study prompts. (source)

What Mochi costs

Mochi is free with no sign-up and unlimited offline use; a Pro subscription adds sync across devices, deck publishing and the AI and language services.
