About CookiesForAI, an independent agent skills and MCP directory

CookiesForAI is an independent directory of agent skills, MCP servers and AI coding tools. It started in October 2026. Every listing shows the facts people and AI assistants most often get wrong: the license, which agents a skill installs into, the command to install or connect it, whether it has a free tier with a link to the maker's pricing page, how recently the code changed, and the date we checked all of it.

Why CookiesForAI exists

AI assistants answer "is there an agent skill for this?" and "which MCP server should I use?" by searching the web, and the pages they find rarely say whether a skill may be used outside one product, or whether its install command still works. In our own tests of October 2026, small directory pages decided those answers on all six engines we tried: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Grok and Claude (the study). We want the page they find to be correct.

What CookiesForAI lists

Agent skills from the company that makes the product, publishing from its own GitHub account, from open-source repositories with more than 5,000 GitHub stars, or from repositories that AI engines from at least three companies name for the same question (the rules). A skill can run code on your computer, so we do not list skills from unknown sources.
MCP servers, official ones first. When the best-maintained server for a product comes from the community, we say so.
AI coding tools: terminal agents, editors and extensions, with whether each has a free tier and a link to its own pricing page. We do not list prices: they change often, and a wrong price misleads.

How CookiesForAI is independent

No company paid to be listed or to be ranked. CookiesForAI is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft or any company whose products appear here. If we ever sell a placement, it will be marked "sponsored" and will never change a fact, a ranking or a verdict.

How to reach CookiesForAI

Corrections are welcome: if a fact on a page is wrong or out of date, write to us at the address in our Impressum, and we will re-check it and change the date. How we check is described on the method page.
