What SEO audit does

SEO audit is one of Corey Haines's marketing skills and loads when you say your site is not ranking, traffic dropped, or you want a technical or on-page SEO check. Like the other skills in the set, it first reads a product marketing context file if one exists, so it does not ask again about your product and audience. It then asks about site type, goals, known issues and whether Search Console data is available.

The audit runs in a fixed order: crawlability and indexation first, then site speed and Core Web Vitals, mobile, HTTPS and URL structure, then titles, meta descriptions, headings, images, internal links and keyword targeting, and finally content quality and E-E-A-T signals. Sections cover international sites with hreflang, and common issues for SaaS, e-commerce, blogs and local businesses.

The skill warns about a trap that produces false findings: fetching a page with curl or a web fetch tool often cannot see schema markup injected by JavaScript, so the agent should render the page in a browser or use Google's Rich Results Test before reporting missing schema. The report lists each issue with impact, evidence, fix and priority, followed by an action plan.
