impeccable

Impeccable is Paul Bakaus's agent skill for frontend design: one skill with 24 commands such as audit, critique and polish, plus a launcher that runs deterministic checks for common AI design mistakes.

Install Impeccable

Install the skill with the skills CLI

Terminal
npx skills add pbakaus/impeccable --skill impeccable

Or use the publisher's installer, which also sets up hooks for supported agents

Terminal
npx impeccable install

Or, in Claude Code, add the publisher's plugin marketplace, then install Impeccable from /plugin

Terminal
/plugin marketplace add pbakaus/impeccable

After installing, run /impeccable init once in your project so the skill can write PRODUCT.md.

Or paste this into your coding agent: Install the agent skill impeccable from github.com/pbakaus/impeccable. A skill can include scripts that run on your computer, so read its source first.

What Impeccable does

Impeccable is a frontend design skill by Paul Bakaus that grew from Anthropic's frontend-design skill. It covers websites, landing pages, dashboards, app screens, forms and onboarding. You start a project with init, which records durable facts about the product, audience and voice in PRODUCT.md so later commands do not have to ask again. A document command writes DESIGN.md from existing code.

Everything runs through one entry point, for example /impeccable audit blog. The README lists 24 commands on 2026-10-01, including shape to plan before coding, critique for a UX review, audit for accessibility, performance and responsive checks, polish for a final pass, harden for errors and edge cases, and bolder or quieter to change the intensity. A live mode lets you iterate on single elements in the browser.

Before editing, the agent runs a bundled launcher that loads the product and design context, then reads a craft-floor file with the skill's quality bar and bans, such as overused fonts, gray text on colored backgrounds and cards nested in cards. The README counts 61 deterministic detector rules that run without a model or API key, through the CLI or a browser extension.

When to use Impeccable

  • Your agent's UI looks like every other AI-made SaaS page and you want it to look like yours.
  • You want a design review of an existing screen with concrete fixes.
  • You want product context written down once and reused by every design task.
  • You need an accessibility and responsive audit before shipping a page.

When to pick something else

  • Backend or non-UI work: the skill says so in its own description.

What Impeccable needs

  • Network access on first run, when the launcher downloads the Impeccable engine binary to ~/.impeccable/bin unless it ships beside it

Which agents Impeccable works in

Paul Bakaus documents Impeccable for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, Grok Build, Hermes Agent, OpenCode, Any agent that reads SKILL.md files, through the skills CLI. The open skills CLI also installs it into 78 agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode (we listed it with the CLI on October 1, 2026). See where each agent looks for skills.

The repository ships a separate copy of the skill per agent folder (.claude, .cursor, .agents and others); this page tracks the .agents copy. Commands are written as /impeccable plus a verb, which assumes an agent with slash commands; elsewhere you ask for the command in words.

Impeccable license

Impeccable is published under Apache-2.0. Apache-2.0 per the repository and the license key in the Claude Code copy of the SKILL.md. The skill's launcher downloads a separate Impeccable engine binary on first run.
