Brand Guidelines
Brand Guidelines is Anthropic's open-source agent skill that holds Anthropic's own brand colors and fonts, so an agent can give a document, slide deck or web artifact the Anthropic look.
Install Brand Guidelines
In Claude Code, add Anthropic's skills marketplace
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/skillsThen install the example-skills plugin, which holds this skill and Anthropic's other example skills
/plugin install example-skills@anthropic-agent-skillsOr install only this skill, for any agent, with the skills CLI
npx skills add anthropics/skills --skill brand-guidelinesIn Claude.ai, Anthropic says its example skills are already available on paid plans: switch them on under Customize > Skills.
Or paste this into your coding agent: Install the agent skill brand-guidelines from github.com/anthropics/skills.
A skill can include scripts that run on your computer, so read its source first.
What Brand Guidelines does
Brand Guidelines holds Anthropic's official brand colors and typography, for any artifact that should have Anthropic's look and feel. It loads when brand colors, style guidelines, visual formatting or company design standards apply. It is one of Anthropic's example skills, so it also shows how a company can package its own palette and fonts as a skill.
The Brand Guidelines palette has four main colors (dark #141413, light #faf9f5, mid gray #b0aea5 and light gray #e8e6dc) and three accents (orange #d97757, blue #6a9bcc and green #788c5d). Headings of 24pt and larger use Poppins with an Arial fallback, and body text uses Lora with a Georgia fallback. Text color is chosen to suit the background.
In Brand Guidelines, shapes that are not text take the accent colors, cycling through orange, blue and green. Colors are applied as exact RGB values through the RGBColor class of python-pptx, the Python library for PowerPoint files. The skill installs no fonts: it uses Poppins and Lora when they are already on the system and falls back to Arial and Georgia otherwise.
When to use Brand Guidelines
- You are making a slide deck or document that should match Anthropic's visual identity.
- You need Anthropic's exact hex values and font pairing in one place.
- You want a working example of a brand skill to adapt for your own company's colors and fonts.
When to pick something else
- You want your own company's look: the skill holds only Anthropic's palette and fonts. Theme Factory offers ten other themes or builds one from a description.
Which agents Brand Guidelines works in
Anthropic documents Brand Guidelines for Claude Code, Claude.ai, Claude API. The open skills CLI also installs it into 78 agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode (we listed it with the CLI on October 1, 2026). See where each agent looks for skills.
Brand Guidelines license
Brand Guidelines is published under Apache-2.0. Apache-2.0 comes from the LICENSE.txt in the skill's own folder (read 2026-10-01); the anthropics/skills repository has no root license file. In practice you may use, change and share the skill in any agent, commercially too, as long as you keep the license text and notices and mark your changes.
