What Theme Factory does

Theme Factory is an Anthropic skill for giving an artifact a consistent look. It works on slide decks, documents, reports and HTML landing pages. It ships ten themes, each a file with a color palette in hex codes and a pair of fonts for headings and body text: Ocean Depths, Sunset Boulevard, Forest Canopy, Modern Minimalist, Golden Hour, Arctic Frost, Desert Rose, Tech Innovation, Botanical Garden and Midnight Galaxy.

With Theme Factory, the agent first shows you a bundled PDF that previews all ten, then waits for you to choose. It reads the chosen theme's file and applies its colors and fonts across the whole artifact, keeping text readable against its background. When none of the ten fits, the agent creates a new theme from your description, names it in the same style and shows it for your review before applying it.

When to use Theme Factory

  • You have a slide deck or report that needs a consistent color palette and font pairing.
  • You want to pick a look from visual previews instead of describing colors yourself.
  • You want a custom theme built from a short description, such as the mood or the audience.

When to pick something else

  • You want a new layout or design direction, not only colors and fonts: use Frontend Design or Canvas Design.

Theme Factory is published under Apache-2.0. Apache-2.0 comes from the LICENSE.txt in the skill's own folder (read 2026-10-01); the anthropics/skills repository has no root license file.
